All the team at The Russell Arms, headed up by Paul Mitchell, are proud to work with the community-owned Russell Arms offering a very warm welcome to all. We are committed to being an integral part of the community and surrounding area. Our menu provides a mix of well-loved pub classics and contemporary dishes alongside sandwiches and pizzas, hand made and baked on our authentic stone based pizza ovens. We have an extensive range of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as a wide variety of food options to meet every appetite and occasion. Located in the hamlet of Butlers Cross, The Russell Arms is an attractive pub with a contemporary style yet steeped in history. Originally an 18th century coach house, its name dates back to the family that once owned Chequers (approximately 1 mile away) and the pub itself was where many of the staff that worked at Chequers lived. Since 2012, The Russell Arms has been proudly owned by a large group of residents from Butlers Cross. In February 2019, the pub came under new management, headed up by Paul Mitchell and supported by his team of enthusiastic and talented chefs and front of house staff. Offering a traditional pub menu, à la carte daily specials and seasonal dishes, you are sure to find something to tempt you. If that isn’t enough, then maybe a pizza from the traditional stone based oven. Our menu always has a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and our chefs are happy to make adjustments, where possible, to reflect any food allergies. Nothing is too much trouble. What’s more, there is also a takeaway option, should you prefer! On the bar you will find a great selection of local ales including our Moogies Exclusive Brew, Fudgel! Also, a superb selection of wines and a plethora of gins on our regularly refreshed gin menu.
