A bit about us

The Bull and Butcher is a quintessentially English pub, nestled between the Chiltern Hills, in the quaint village of Turville in the Hambleden Valley, 6 miles from Henley-On-Thames ~ serves delicious gastro pub food, excellent wines and fantastic real ales including Brakspear bitters and Oxford Gold Organic, along with regular guest ales from the area.

Mentioned in The Sunday Times, The Independent, and London Evening News the stunning scenery incorporates the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" windmill perched on top of a steep ridge overlooking Turville. St. Mary the Virgin Church dating back to the 10th Century achieved fame in the "Vicar of Dibley", which was based on Turville village and its inhabitants! "Good Night Mr. Tom" was also filmed in the village as are many of the "Midsomer Murders" episodes.
