A bit about us

Set in 45 acres of landscaped grounds, West Wycombe Park is a Palladian gem that has been the Dashwood family home for over 300 years. The historic village features unique architectural styles dating from the 16th century and high on the hill enjoy views across the Chilterns countryside.

The house and parkland as we see them today were the creation of the 2nd Baronet in the 18th Century. Its picturesque setting and sumptuous interiors have seen it frequently featured in screen adaptations of literary classics such as Cranford and Little Dorrit, in television series including Midsummer Murders and Downton Abbey and films from Labyrinth to Belle.

West Wycombe is a historic village with bags of charm. Its streets are lined with cottages and inns of varying architectural styles, dating from the 16th century through to the 18th century. Other delights in the village include gift shops, historic pubs, quaint cafes and stores and two churches. Nearby are the Dashwood Mausoleum and Hellfire Caves (not National Trust).

Explore the village and then make your way up West Wycombe Hill for breath-taking views over the parkland and village to the stunning Chilterns countryside beyond.
