One-day, or two-day, guided walks for small groups in the Chilterns.
Group Walks
One-day or two-days guided walking experiences using the village of Great Missenden as the starting and end point. Great Missenden, situated in the heart of the Chilterns, is located approx. 25 miles NW of London on the A413 and a 40-minute direct train journey from London Marylebone Station.
My organised guided group walks take you to some of the best and interesting locations in the Chilterns. I only take small groups on the walks (5-10 pax) so I can give you the best personal attention. My walks are ideal for a group of friends, for a family, corporate parties or associations. I offer a range of walks to ensure the walk will be enjoyable and suitable for all abilities within the party. A reasonable level of fitness is of course essential as the walks are between 10km-20km and include the occasional elevation gains of approx. 75m-100m. Each walk does include a lunch stop over at one of Chiltern’s finest pubs. Adequate outdoor clothing will be required, including hiking boots or light trekking shoes. During the dry summer months approach shoes will be ok as well.

About me
My name is Joost van Spengler. I am a Dutch national who after a few years living in London, moved to the Chilterns in the 1980s. A move I have never regretted. I have always had a passion for outdoor-living and activities and I would like to share with you some of the most beautiful places in the Chilterns where you can escape and leave behind the fast-paced sub-urban or city lives most of us live today. On my walks I will take you to places where you can truly get a feel from being away from it all!
As Henry David Thoreau (an American Naturalist and Poet) once said “I took a walk in the wood and came out taller than the trees”
I am looking forward to welcoming you on one of my walks!
