A bespoke working art studio hosting a wide range of art courses, workshops and weekly classes, led by highly experienced artist and tutors.
The Courtyard Art Studio is a place to create, learn and enjoy a range of artistic and creative courses, workshops and classes for all abilities. Set in the beautiful courtyard, built in 1754, the studio was originally the local Blacksmiths and Olivers which once served the grand Claydon House and surrounding estate. The studio has now been completely renovated and modernised into a fully working art space.
The fully equipped studio has been especially designed to accommodate a range of artistic disciplines and workshops with tables, chairs and easels all provided which can comfortably accommodate up to 14 working students. The studio is beautifully lit by both natural light and enhanced daylight LED bulbs, suitable for both working students and lighting models. The studio also has it's own private kitchen with full tea and coffee making facilities as well as a separate studio sink in the main room.
The studio is purpose built with every facility you would want, from lighting to equipment to parking. It's an ideal place to get 'into the zone', where you can concentrate with no distractions.
Not only that, it has a friendly and supportive ambience, thanks to Peter who generously gives his professional knowledge should you ask for guidance.
Peter and Kimberley represent the way forward for any aspirants who want to make a career from Art. They have huge ability, wonderful personalities and are developing a really fantastic artistic hub in the Claydon courtyard.
Talent, vision and hard work are in abundance.
Peter is a fantastic and successful artist and his ability to pass on some of his gift is really inspirational. Kimberley manages the whole organisation with charm and efficiency.
I really enjoy my evenings at The Courtyard. I am not an experienced painter but always feel at ease on those evenings. It gives me the opportunity for practising and developing my skills. Everybody is very friendly and it is good to see other peoples work at the same time. Peter is the best host you can imagine and the studio is excellent. You have to give it a try when you enjoy painting. Nobody will make you feel uncomfortable when you are not that experienced.
