Nestled in Claydon Courtyard on the beautiful Claydon Estate we run silver jewellery making half day and full day workshops.
Corzo & Wood is a partnership of two friends Violeta Corzo and Sarah Wood. They share a passion for designing and creating unique, contemporary silver jewellery. Using a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, They use the flexibility of this precious metal to achieve their contemporary designs.
You’ll find the studio and shop in the stunning Courtyard setting, at Claydon Estate nestled deep in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside (which is also the home to the National Trust property Claydon House).
Led by either Violeta Corzo or Sarah Wood the workshop will guide participants through the jewellery making process from design to creation, with demonstrations and advice offered throughout the day. Techniques covered during most workshops will include saw-piercing, texturing, soldering, and polishing.
All the tools and equipment you need are provided. We suggest you bring along a sketchbook/paper and a pen (you may also like to bring an apron) on the day. Materials will be available to purchase on the day if required.
At the end of the day, you take home a unique piece of jewellery you have created!
Corzo & Wood workshops are open to anyone aged 18 years and over (14 if accompanied by an adult). We offer step-by-step tuition in small classes of no more than 3 people and a creative, friendly, relaxed environment. You can design and make rings, bangles, earrings, pendants, cufflinks and bracelets. We also offer one-to-one tuition to explore those pieces you are inspired to create.
Half-day courses are £50 and full-day courses are £80 plus materials.
