Staff with time for everyone. We booked our trip about a month in advance having been to several steam railways before but not this one. Our train was a few minutes late leaving Chinnor but was back on time when we reached Prines Risborough. Staff were on hand throughout the journey and a refreshment trolley also came through the train. One member of staff gave our part of the carriage a running commentary and what to look for, which really helped enhance the journey. A really pleasant time, thank you.

Fabulous trip! I would recommend this to trip to anyone, young or old, couples, solo, families - just wonderful. All the staff are volunteers & you can tell they love what they do. Happy to answers questions, made a fuss of a little boy who turned 3 today! We only booked tickets the day before travel, very easy to book & superb value. The train was late departing but that only added to the experience as we could all watch the engine being prepped for departure & coupling up with the carriages. There’s refreshments available at the station pre & post departure plus a trolley service on board. Departing Chinnor you pass through the glorious Oxfordshire countryside, it’s not a long journey but it is beautiful - spotting a deer as we went! A 15 min stop at Princes Risborough for the engine to change ends was superb to watch. I cannot recommend this experience enough. On board were families, couples, young & old. Seems everyone is fascinated with a steam engine!

Truly exceptional day out. We visited the railway as a 50th birthday gift for our friend & she was made to feel very special from the moment we arrived. We booked the sparkling afternoon tea which was delicious & plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the volunteer staff, they all went above & beyond to be helpful & ensure we were enjoying everything the railway had to offer. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here & will be visiting again soon with my family.

Lovely trip. We visited as a party of 2 adults and 4 children (11,8,3 and 2) for a trip on the steam train. Very impressed with everything given to the children and all staff lovely and welcoming.

If you haven't been to see Santa at Chinnor them I would highly recommend you do. We had a lovely day today littered with absolutely wonderful staff who were so very jolly. The little touches were so thoughtful and all in all it was a great experience that I would highly recommend. Thank you to everyone for making our memories so precious.

A Wonderful Heritage Line. I had a fantastic day out on the Chinnor & Princes Railway, visiting there for the first time on the Sunday of their Spring 2022 diesel gala. I realise that not everyone wants to read a full review - so if I can encourage readers to do one thing, it would be to visit this glorious little heritage line.

We visited Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway on 27th March with my mum, my wife and my son for the Mothers Day Afternoon Tea with a steam train ride. My 86 year old mother loved it as did my wife and son. The ceeam tea was lovely and the staff and volunteers were so lovely and friendly and went ou of their way to make the experience memorable for us. I would totally recommend them and will definitely be back again. Thanks you so much Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway. We had an amazing time!
