Chiltern Arts Festival

Bringing the highest-quality arts and music to the Chiltern Hills, in May 2024.

A bit about us

Our festival theme for 2024 is Human Stories — exploring how we can use music and other art forms to tell stories and to bring them to life.

Afternoon tea with literary legend Roger McGough, Renaissance French Fables in a 12th Century church, poetry and walking in the Buckinghamshire countryside, 17th Century Italian multi-choir masterpieces with I Fagiolini, Shostakovich's immensely powerful string quartets entwined with his letters, a chance to sing with Owain Park and The Gesualdo Six and so much more... we think you'll find plenty to love about this year's festival, and we can't wait to see you in May!

At the heart of Chiltern Arts is a commitment to excellence, opportunity and innovation, as well as a belief that the arts are central to the quality of life and should be accessible to all. We aim to inspire audiences, create new work, and create a community that adds to and supports the rich tapestry of culture in the area.
