Buckinghamshire Archives

We are the Archive and Local Studies hub for Bucks.

A bit about us

Whether you are a family historian, interested in the history of your house, or have a question about the past of your local area, we may have something for you.

We house the most comprehensive collection of printed books on Buckinghamshire, plus a wide range of family history sources covering the whole of the British Isles and beyond.  We also hold a large collection of original documentation about the historic county of Buckinghamshire, dating from the twelth century up to the present day.  These include maps, deeds, records of estates, businesses and individuals, surveys and correspondence.
