The walk was beautiful and offered a range of photo opportunities and the chance to try new techniques under Matt’s guidance. Matt’s local knowledge and enthusiasm for history of the area brought additional meaning and interest to the beauty spots we stopped at.
The 1:1 image review at the end of the session gave us the valuable chance to learn about some photo editing techniques and I have come away from the workshop with some real gems of knowledge which I can and will now apply every time I take a photo. I’m incredibly proud of the photos I took which are definitely Instagram worthy and am keen to continue using my newfound knowledge when photographing scenery in the future.
I fully recommend this experience to all budding smartphone photographers and nature lovers. For Londoners in particular, who can get there easily on the Metropolitan line, this is a lovely day’s escape in nature.”
“After an introduction into some techniques to help improve our photographs, Matt led us on a circular route across some stunning scenery of the Chiltern Hills. We stopped at various points for photo opportunities to let us practise these new techniques. Throughout this walk Matt gave us guidance with some local history thrown in.
Back at the White Hill Centre, Matt spent time reviewing our photos, giving personal advice about composition and photo editing techniques to further improve upon our photographs.
This was a great experience, Matt has a great approach to teaching, helping us throughout the day to improve our photography skills. I whole heartedly recommend this workshop.”
I was so pleased to find a course focused on using your smartphone rather than a digital camera.
Matt was very knowledgeable and created a relaxing and friendly environment for learning and chatting.
I loved everything about the course and have picked up some great tips on how to take better photos and look at the beauty of nature in different ways.
Would highly recommend!
Really enjoyed the Photography Workshop with Matt. His experience, expertise and passion helped me see photography differently with practical tips. But also how every photo is a chance to capture a feeling or a memory from the world around us.
The combination of tuition plus the two-hour walk enabled me to put the ideas into practice and learn from Matt in action. Highly recommend!
