What's Open in Bucks?

Once again our local producers, pubs and restaurants have had to close their doors but behind the scenes they are valiantly helping to keep us fed and watered.

The Kings Head, Aylesbury has its own food hall in the stable barn (and online) of this historic pub in the town centre. Essentials such as eggs, bread, milk, fruit and veg are on sale from local producers, in addition to beers (draught and bottled), wines, gin and tonics, soft drinks and fresh orange juice. Seasonal fruit and veg boxes are available or you can order a ready meal and forget about the cooking. If you can’t or don’t want to come in person (although, of course, strict social distancing will be in place), a delivery service is also on offer.

The Chiltern Brewery, near Wendover, is the oldest independent brewery in the Chilterns. Their shop is open (maximum 4 customers are a time) and they offer a click and collect service, as well as deliveries within a twenty mile radius, so you can enjoy their excellent ales and beers, brewed with 40 years of experience, at home. They also sell spirits, wines and a selection of local deli goods.

Peterley Manor Farm, Prestwood, has a farm shop that is open for socially distanced shopping plus it runs a click and collect service and local delivery. They have fresh fruit and veg boxes, meat, dairy, eggs, bread, alcohol, snacks and lots of other products from local suppliers. The Wild Strawberry Café is closed for the winter.
