Kop Hill Climb
An entertaining and moving celebration of the history of the car and the motorcycle, this year's Kop Hill Climb takes place on 16th and 17th September. This is a great family day out with a festival stage with live music, fabulous food stalls, traders selling vintage clothing, memorabilia and art and so much more. Watch all kinds of vehicle attempt the climb up the very steep Kop Hill and marvel at over a hundred years of pioneering, mechanical progress powered by steam, gasoline, electricity, eccentricity and innovation,
Chilli Fest, Outdoor Cinema and Eythrope Tours at Waddesdon
With handpicked exhibitors, all passionate about chilli, Chilli Fest guarantees to bring you the best of local artisan producers as well as some of the nation’s best loved independent traders from across the country. Throughout the weekend of 1st-3rd September, enjoy live music and entertainment, family fun and children’s activities as well as the opportunity to walk around the gardens. New for this year, do you dare take part in our Chilli Eating Competition? Taking place on Saturday and Sunday with Clifton Chilli Club.
The Luna Cinema will pitch up in the grounds of Waddesdon and screen four blockbuster films, with the 19th-century chateau serving as a picturesque backdrop. Baz Lurhman's 'The Great Gatsby' will be screened 13th September, 'Elvis' 14th September, 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' 15th September, and 'Top Gun: Maverick' on 16th September. The Luna Bar will provide food and drinks.
Time is running out to visit the walled garden at Eythrope on the Waddesdon Estate. Discover the four-acre walled garden, glasshouses and orchard by guided tour only on Wednesdays until October. Eythrope is legendary in the garden world for the excellence of the gardening and as a haven for traditional techniques that might otherwise be lost. A must-see for keen gardeners.
Chilterns Heritage & Culture Festival
From Saturday September 16th to Sunday October 1st, the Chilterns Heritage & Culture Festival returns with walks, talks and tours showcasing the rich and diverse culture of our region. Options include a private tour of the John Lewis Partnership Odney Grounds; a lovely 5.4 mile hilly walk taking in 3 historic Chiltern villages – Turville, Skirmett, and Fingest – offering a good variety of architecture, churches, pubs, grand houses and great views; afternoon tea and history talk at Missenden Abbey; a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tring Natural History Museum; and a visit to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Centre. Deer Spirit Psychic Roadshow
For a psychic evening with a difference, head to Leighton Buzzard on 7th September. Not only does the Deer Spirit Psychic Roadshow have a group of top local, national and international psychics, mediums and tarot readers at this event, they also have lots more for you to do and enjoy with workshops, well-being products for sale, a healer on site and hot food and drinks available.
Paw Patrol at Bucks Railway Centre
PAW Patrol characters Chase and Skye are coming to The Bucks Railway Centre on Sunday 10th September, appearing at intervals throughout the day. Plus, enjoy steam train rides, visit the railway museum, watch the model trains and ride the miniature railway (£1.20 per person - under 3s go free), visit their stunning glass-roofed visitor centre and the beautiful steam locomotive and carriages on display.
Last of the Summer Wine and Chef's Table at Danesfield House Hotel
On 15th September, luxurious Danesfield House Hotel is hosting a 'Last of the Summer Wine' evening. which starts with reception drinks and canapés followed by an exquisite four-course dinner with matching wines to delight the eye and excite the palate. And on 24th September, the mezzanine gallery of the Great Hall at the hotel is the perfect setting for an exclusive evening with menu by their executive Chef Massimo. A glass of fizz, followed by 5 exquisite courses with paired wines, with choices ranging from octopus salad, to duck breast with black cherry puree, chocolate and passionfruit tart, and vegetarian options too.
New Shows at Wycombe Swan
The autumn season starts with some great comedy - Paul Zerdin, the winner of 'America's Got Talent' brings his puppets to the Swan on 2nd September. Or perhaps you'd like to see Judi Love showcase her fresh unapologetic and charismatic talent on September 8th, or how about seeing Francis Rossi of 'Status Quo' fame chat and play acoustic guitar on 22nd September? There's something for everyone at this well loved theatre.
Heritage Open Day at Stowe
With free entry to Stowe Gardens, Stowe Parish Church, the Gothic Temple and Stowe House on September 17th, you will have a rare chance to see inside and explore the breadth of some of Stowe's most iconic temples. You'll be able to explore the 250 acres of landscape gardens, visit the Gothic Temple - normally an exclusive holiday cottage for The Landmark Trust, take in the tranquillity of the church, and take a restoration tour of two of the State Rooms at Stowe House. You'll also get the chance to see some of their hidden collections from the gardens and learn more from a pop-up archaeology stall.
Princes Risborough Farmers' Market
A mixture of fan-favourites and new vendors will pitch at the Princes Risborough Farmers' Market on Saturday 23rd September, selling a wide array of local goodies inclusive of sparkling wines, olives, pies, home-produced and locally sourced meats, as well as savoury and sweet treats. Hot takeaway food will also be available and little ones will be entertained by Basil and Crews Educational Mobile Farm.
1940s Weekend at Bletchley Park
Fun for all the family, this two-day event on September 23rd and 24th at Bletchley Park is a chance to step back in time and enjoy a marvellous weekend of vintage entertainment. Why not dress to impress and visit us in 1940s attire? Or take to the dance floor and learn some moves with Swing Dance MK? Enjoy live music throughout the weekend, visit the market stalls and indulge in a little vintage retail therapy. All this and family activities, reenactors, various food vendors, and more!
Autumn Season at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre

Harvest Festival at Chiltern Open Air Museum
Celebrate a traditional Harvest Festival at Chiltern Open Air Museum. Discover the fascinating traditions of our farming history, find out more about a traditional Harvest and rural skills, visit the Bodger’s Area and learn about what bodgers made, learn about our fire kiln and saw pit and learn about straw plaiting and purchase some handmade items (cash only), see what the blacksmith is making making in the forge and the harvest display in Henton chapel made from their allotment and garden produce.
Hearing Dogs Late Summer Show
On September 10th, The Grange at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are hosting their Late Summer Show with doggy demos, fun rides and traditional entertainment, soft play and face painting, live local music, stands and stalls, with proceeds going to this worthy charity. Friendly dogs on leads welcome too!
'Crafted' exhibition at Discover Bucks Museum
Treat yourself to some of the finest craft around! This event showcases the beautiful work of the Buckinghamshire Craft Guild, with over 30 members displaying their most recent work in the stunning gallery at the newly refurbished Discover Bucks Museum from 16th September to 7th October. On September 23rd, you can join the 'Meet the Maker' event where many of the talented makers will be there to chat about their work.
Back to the 80s Disco in Princes Risborough
