See the foothills of the Chilterns in their summer glory: you might spot some local wildlife such as deer, and it is rather rare not to see the Red Kites whirling overhead.
Steam on Thursdays and Sundays in Summer School Holidays and Kids-for-a-Quid too!
Throughout the summer school holidays the popular Kids-for-a-Quid scheme is once again in operation! From Sunday 23 July until 03 September 2017 inclusive and every day in-between that the railway runs, e.g. every Sunday and also each Thursday plus August Bank Holiday Monday - up to two children (3-15 yrs) go for just £1 each when accompanied by any fare-paying Adult (16-59 yrs) or Senior (60+ yrs).
The railway volunteers will be making their way through the train with an at-seat service of tea, coffee and light refreshments. All the while your steam locomotive is lazily billowing out steam past your window on the gentle 45-50 minute round trip. Why not make several trips along the line - your travel tickets are valid all day long...
