Al fresco Dining this Summer

It's been a long old winter and the chance to sit outside our favourite pub, cafe or restaurant and enjoy a meal we haven't had to cook, is a welcome treat for many. Here are some local options.

The Nags Head, Great Missenden, is a 4 star hotel and restaurant with a lovely garden and fun tippee in which to dine outside. The Anglo-French menu is a cut above and the large garden is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of your favourite tipple. It's recently been voted number 1 in The Telegraph's Top 50 Best Pubs with Gardens too!

The Royal Oak, Marlow, is also included in The Telegraph's Top 50 Best Pubs with Gardens, and have heated tables and seats for you to enjoy a slap up meal just under a mile from the centre of Marlow.

The Full Moon, Hawridge, has done a sterling job with its bakery counter throughout lockdown and it will continue to open from 9am. There is a large garden with 2 marquees in which to enjoy their food and drinks and with its location on the common, is great for walkers and cyclists.

The Three Oaks, Gerrards Cross, is an award-winning pub with a Michelin Bib Gourmand. They have a large terrace and selection of weather proof pods which you can book with a deposit, in case it looks like rain.

The Pointer, Brill, has a dine-in bar, restaurant and rooms but for now, only the terrace is open which has covered areas in case of bad weather. This stylish country pub has really good food and great walks nearby in the idyllic hill top village of Brill, famous for its windmill and stunning view.

Their signature espresso-sized hot chocolate drinks now come in more varieties - dark chilli, hazelnut and orange & ginger - plus they've added ice cream baskets to their menu. Pop along to their outdoor spaces from Monday and find out what else is new in their relaunch.
