Danesfield House Hotel

You can book for Mother's Day itself - 19th March - or Saturday 18th March. Missenden Abbey
Sandwiches, cakes, savouries and scones await at this Medieval Abbey, now a hotel and conference centre, for their Mother's Day Afternoon Tea, served between 12pm and 5pm on Sunday 19th March. If you have little ones, under 2s go free and you could make a day of it with a trip to The Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre just down the road, where the stories of Roald Dahl come to life.
Phoenix Kitchen
Located in the delightful Claydon's Courtyard at Claydon House, the Phoenix Kitchen's afternoon tea includes a range of delicious sweet and savoury treats including a selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and more, all made with the freshest ingredients and served with a tea or coffee, glass of prosecco or an alcohol free apple & elderflower mocktial. All mothers will receive a special sweet treat from the kitchen too. Available on 19th March between 12pm and 2pm, you can then enjoy a stroll round the other shops in the Courtyard and the grounds of historic Claydon House, once home to Florence Nightingale.
Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway
Spend some quality time with your mum on a comfortable heritage train ride, watching the early spring scenery unfold in front of your wide picture window. All Mums travel at a reduced price of £7 and you can pre-order a special Cream-tea Box when returning on steam trains from Chinnor. A unique way to spend the day, available on March 19th between 11.15am and 4.15pm.

How about a relaxing wellbeing Mothers Day cream tea in the beautiful Victorian walled garden at Discover Bucks Museum? In celebration of all of the wonderful mothers in the world this event will consist of wellbeing relaxation sessions using mindfulness techniques at the beginning of each hour followed by a delicious cream tea. The cream tea includes a refillable tea/coffee, a scone with butter, individual jam and clotted cream, with squash for the kids.
