A bit about us

This charming cottage sits within the conservation area of the picturesque village of Thornborough and is ideal for short breaks for both business and pleasure.

Thornborough is a great location with Silverstone, Bletchley Park, Buckingham, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Stowe, Waddesden Manor, and Bicester Village all within easy reach.

Living room has comfortable seating and a HETA wood burning stove. To the left of the fire is a cleverly concealed desk working area and the cottage has excellent fibre broadband and Wifi. SMART TV, books and games are available and the foldaway dining table comfortably seats four.

The stylish Shaker kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven/grill, integrated dishwasher and washer /dryer. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking essentials. Complimentary teas, coffee machine and milk are available.

Bedroom 1 has a comfortable double bed with Marks & Spencer pure Egyptian cotton bed linen. There is a spacious wardrobe and a small desk area with hairdryer and mirrors.

Bedroom 2 has a truckle bed, which provides two comfortable 2'6" single beds as required.

The fully renovated bathroom has a large walk-in Groehe shower with heated floor and towel rail. Plentiful Marks & Spencer Egyptian towels are provided.

To the front of the property there is a charming courtyard cottage garden with table & chairs and a developing herb garden.

Guest access is via a secure lock box. We live at the other end of the village giving guests complete privacy and are very happy to answer any questions during your stay. ‬ ‪‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

On street parking is available along Bridge Street and our wonderful local the Two Brewers pub is a one-minute walk from Ilex Cottage.

There are many great options if you want to eat out in Stony Stratford, Buckingham, Adstock and Winslow and we are delighted to provide recommendations.

Thornborough has many footpaths and areas of interest to explore and the cottage has a file full of Local Activities for you to review.
