A bit about us

Chiltern Barn is a 200 year old converted hay barn in Wheeler End in Buckinghamshire - half way between London and Oxford, close to Marlow and Henley-on-Thames.

Wheeler End is a small village set around a common with a friendly local pub, The Chequers, which serves good food. We are in the hear of The Chilterns with beautiful walks all around us.

Lane End, a mile or so away has all the necessary local amenities including a mini-market, newsagents, farm shop, gastro-pub, Indian restaurant a couple of takeaways.

The barn is a separate building with private access, a small patio at the front and parking in the cobbled courtyard next to the house.

Set on two floors, downstairs is a kitchen & dining area, seating area with a large comfy sofa and TV with Sky Sports. The toilet/shower room is also on the ground floor.

Upstairs is a flexible sleeping area reached via a double staircase; the open plan room has the original beamed roof dating back over 200 years.

There are two pairs of large zip and link beds which can be configured for your requirements. We have it set up as a king size double and two large singles but this can be changed to suit your needs.

There is a small patio outside the front of the barn with a a pair of wooden recliner chairs.

We live in the house next door and will welcome new arrivals to the barn and be available if you need any assistance. If for any reason we cannot be there when you arrive we will leave a key in a key safe for you.
