Hambleden

Welcome to the River Thames! Hambleden is one of its prettiest villages, in one of the Chiltern's prettiest valleys. Lord Cardigan, of Light Brigade fame, was born in the Manor House and the sea chest which accompanied him to the Crimea is now on show in the beautiful old church here. Head for the Thames at Hambleden's Mill and Wier - first constructed around 1420.
