Chesham

Grew up around St Mary's Church, built on a prehistoric holy site in the valley of the River Chess. Things to stop for here include the Old Town, surrounding the 16-18c. cottages of Church Street, nearlby Lowndes Park with its large pond of geese and swans, the newly opened Chesham Museum in Bellingdon Road, the Pedestrianised High Street and the excellent entertainment offered by the Elgiva Theatre.
