Dorney Lake
Dorney Lake is situated in the south of the County and is part of Eton College. The venue boasts a 2,200 metre, eight lane course with a separate return lake, which is constructed to international standards.
In recent years the lake has hosted the World Rowing Championships in 2006 and the Bearing Point Rowing World Cup in 2005.
At the 2012 Games Dorney Lake will be the venue for several events;
- Rowing
- Flatwater Canoe & Kayak
- Paralympic Rowing
Seating is available for 20 thousand spectators and the facilities are a permanent asset to the County.
