Home > New home for Wycombe's Tourist Information Centre
Wycombe's Tourist Information Centre has moved from Paul's Row to the ground floor of the new library building in the Eden Centre, High Wycombe. The new look service is located in the foyer area of the library making it more visible and accessible for visitors. Recently released figures show a big increase in the number of people visiting the library now that it is located in the heart of the town's Eden centre.
Opening hours for the new Tourist Information Centre will be from 9.30am - 5.30pm Tuesday to Friday and 9.30am - 4pm on Saturday. Outside of these hours Bucks County Council library staff will accommodate enquiries where possible.
Commenting on the new location, Wycombe District Council's Cabinet Member for Younger and Older People, Cllr Katrina Wood, said: "I'm delighted to see the Tourist Information Centre's new base right in the heart of Eden, close to public transport and more easily accessible for both local people and visitors to High Wycombe. With the high number of people who visit Eden and come into the new library, I'm confident that more people will see our service in action and want to find out more about things to do in our local area."
The Tourist Information Centre is accredited by Tourism South East and provides a wide range of information and services. Tourist Information staff are not only trained to help people get the most from their local area but can also help visitors who are travelling further afield in the UK.
They can offer advice on things to do and places to visit in and around Wycombe district as well as Britain in general. They can also make advance bookings for accommodation both within Wycombe district and nationally and also book tickets for National Express and a variety of coach day trips and holidays.
