Saturday 3 July 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4pm
Buckswashling bowls For 6+ years: paint your own diddly design onto a bowl to take home and use whenever you feel the need for a whipplescrumptious treat. £4.95 per participant.
Sunday 4 July 30 minute sessions at 2.30pm and 3.30pm
* Matilda’s biffsquiggling bingo For all ages provided younger children have help: listen to extracts from Roald Dahl’s Matilda and have a go at her mum’s favourite game. Swiggles of sweetie prizes to be won! £1 per person.

Revolting recipes For 6+ years: join Tiffany Crouch, head chef at Café Twit to make whoppsy-whiffling yummies inspired by Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes. £4.95 per participant.
Sunday 11 July 1.30pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 4pm
Buggles of bugs and butterflies For 6 + years: join us to make buggles of bugs and butterflies fit to fly in Roald Dahl’s magnificent garden at Gipsy House. £2 per participant.

Zipfizzling animation For 6+ years: join Tricia West, one of our animators in residence and make your very own zoetrope. Spin and see your zipfizzling creation come to life.
£3.50 per participant.
Saturday 24 July 40 min sessions hourly 11.15am to 4.15pm
Swiggles of sweeties For 6+ years: join Tiffany Crouch, head chef at Café Twit, to make a selection of Lickswishy Lollies and Gobwangling Gobstoppers, Tongue-tying Toffee and Scrumdiddlyumptious Sherbet. £3.95 per participant.

Chocolate decorating For all ages: decorate your own chocolate bar with help from local experts, The Chocolate Source. Not pre-bookable. £3.50 per person.
Wednesday 28 July and Thursday 29 July
45 minute sessions at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm each day.
The Exploding Writing Hut For 6+ years: find out more about Roald Dahl’s writing hut, his collection of hip bones and sweet wrappers, his special table and customised chair, and create an artwork inspired by Cornelia Parker’s famous exploded shed installation shown at Tate Modern www.tate.org.uk/colddarkmatter £2 per participant.

• Event charges are additional to Museum admission (adults £6, children 5 to 18 £4).
• Events can be pre-booked by calling 01494 892192 until the day before the event.
• Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult. Due to high demand, we charge accompanying adults for some events (marked *). You will get to join in though!
• Free drop-in storytelling and craft activities for children and families take place at weekends and every day in the Buckinghamshire school holidays.
