Aylesbury Ducks are Coming to Town!

Come and enjoy a family day out!

Aylesbury DucksAylesbury Tourist Information Centre is holding it's annual event in September on Saturday 27th. Following successful events last year "Artists at Work" and "Hearing Dogs", the TIC are holding a different type of event this year and a theme which is linked to the heart and history of Aylesbury - The Aylesbury Duck.

The King's Head Entrance

On the day of the event, there will be many activites for children on the site at The King's Head. The event will start at 10.30am and will continue until 4pm. The entry is free* for the event.

 

What's Happening?

  • See real live Aylesbury Ducks and talk with the last remaining local breeder Richard Waller
  • Have a go at making a clay pot or even a duck (small charge*)
  • Come and find out more about the Red Kites in the Chilterns with The Chilterns Conservation Board and make a Red Kite
  • Discover the history of the King's Head and take a guided tour (small charge*)
  • Local Pictures of Aylesbury Ducks on display in the Tourist Information Centre by Broughton Infant School
  • Presentation at 12 noon of prizes for picture competition
  • Refreshments available on-site

If you can't make it to the event on the day, the pictures by Broughton Infant School will be on display from Saturday 20th September for 2 weeks.
