'Katsina' is a detached chalet bungalow situated in a quiet, picturesque countryside location, yet it is only 3-5 minutes by car to Chesham town centre and the tube line (Metropolitan), which can take you into London, and also connect you to the Chiltern Railways line.

The bungalow is perfectly situated in the village of Botley. Ley Hill and the many walks, pathways and woodlands that criss-cross the delightful surrounding countryside of the Chiltern Hills are right on the doorstep.

The ground floor accommodation offers clean and comfortable single/twin occupancy rooms with shared bathroom (shared only with the other guest rooom when occupied), tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV, a choice of breakfasts and a friendly welcome.

'Katsina' is within walking distance of three charming local pubs, which serve good quality food. There is also a municipal golf course nearby. Your landlady, Mrs Patricia Jeffrey, would be pleased to share her extensive knowledge of local amenities and places of interest to visit during your stay.

'Katsina' offers a choice of menus for breakfast, ranging from Continental to the full cooked English. Vegetarians also catered for.

Children aged 8 and over are welcome.

Private off-road parking available.

In principle, dogs are welcome but this should be discussed at the time of booking.

Road Directions

From M25: Take exit 18 (Chorleywood, Rickmansworth) and follow A404 to Amersham. Follow A416 via Chesham Bois to Chesham. Enter Chesham via Red Lion St. and continue on to St. Mary's Way. At the third roundabout, turn right and drive up White Hill. Turn Right into Botley Rd to Ley Hill. Broomstick Lane is approx. halfway along the Botley Road, on the right-hand side, opposite the Botley Stores Village Shop

From M1: Exit 8 (Hemel Hempstead) and follow the A414 via St Albans Rd and Station Rd through H. Hempstead. Turn left onto the B4505 towards Bovingdon. Beyond Bovingdon, turn left into Western Avenue towards Ley Hill. Once in Ley Hill, the road bends to the right at the pubs and then left into Botley Road. Broomstick Lane is on the left-hand side, opposite the Botley Stores Village Shop.

Public Transport Directions

The TFL Metropolitan Line runs from Chesham to Baker Street and the City of London.

Chiltern Railways operate to London Marylebone and can be boarded at nearby Amersham Station.

London Midland runs fast trains from Boxmoor Railway Station near Hemel Hempstead to London Euston.

There is a bus stop in the Botley Road, just at the end of Broomstick Lane and buses will take you down to Chesham Broadway and the Railway Station from 8.00am until 5.35pm, with the last bus returning from Chesham Broadway at 5.18pm for Botley and Ley Hill, Monday to Friday. Saturday service to Chesham commences at 8.35am, with a bus every hour until 4.35pm. The last return bus to Botley and Ley Hill on a Saturday is 4.18pm. (Bus nos. 373,374 and 379)
