The County offers a variety of historic towns mixed together with vibrant, modern centres.

Aylesbury is the County town of Buckinghamshire and blends together old and new, with its historic market square, its modern shopping areas and its array of restaurants and charming shops. High Wycombe boasts the exciting Eden shopping centre, making it a hub for the High Street shopper. Both towns provide a wide variety of entertainment and night life.

Nestled throughout the county are picturesque market towns offering superb selections of specialist and boutique shops and excellent restaurants.

Many of the towns and villages have a familiar feel to them due to Buckinghamshire's recoccuring presence in popular TV dramas and big screen hits. See the Film & TV section for more information.
