Buckinghamshire is the perfect place to stay whilst the Games are on. Not only are the main Games venues within easy reach but should you want to escape from the City for the day and do something a bit different Buckinghamshire has a great selection of attractions and is ideal for exploring historic English villages, taking in stunning landscapes and sampling traditional country pubs.

Book accomodation in one of main centres; Aylesbury, High Wycombe or Milton Keynes for excellent access to the Games event venues and the Olympic Park in East London. There are plenty of useful tips and advice for the Games or contact one of our Tourist Information Centres for more help planning your trip.

Suggested itineraries are available for anyone looking for day trips or short breaks whilst staying during the 2012 Games or with an interest in the Olympics and Paralympics.

Buckinghamshire will have a unique role to play in the hosting of the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. We are proud be the birthplace of disability sport and the Paralympic Games at Stoke Mandeville and privileged that the Eton College Rowing Centre at Dorney Lake has been selected as a host venue.
